My goodness, people, face the facts! We were on the road to the total collapse of the pension system. Governor Brashear did NOTHING for the 8 years he was in office. We don't get a pay raise every year of retirement. 2. Many surrounding states participate in Social Security. 3. Many surrounding states do not require a master's to keep a teaching job. 4. We do not want new hires in a cash hybrid plan as that would kill public education in the Commonwealth. As they would not be covered by an inviolable contract. 5. We are asking for a dedicated revenue source so that legislators cannot get us into this mess again. 6. We are asking that the fixes established in 2013 are allowed the time work. 7.
