I was able to open up and accept the harsh reality of what I've survived growing up in a violent and toxic environment. I made a vow to myself that I would not live or recreate a life like the one experienced in my childhood. That being said, those experiences are apart of my journey and I hope this song gives hope to anyone else who has had to run for survival.
