Austin Boothroyd Austin Boothroyd Eastbourne Having dedicated his working life to music education, as a composer and editor Austin Boothroyd aims to engage with and inspire live music making among students, teachers and established performers alike. Studies in music took him to Sheffield University, the Royal Northern College of Music, where he studied trumpet with Howard Snell, and University College London. Austin Boothroyd loves to play viola, piano and harpsichord with chamber groups. He plays viola regularly with Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra and sings with the Philharmonischer Chor Baden-Baden.
