Asta Hyvärinen Asta Hyvärinen Helsinki Asta Hyvärinen has depicted her compositional style as surrealistic-cubistic, using structures based on subconscious processes and sonic details appearing as cubistic. She has described her works representing some kind of cross sections of a disintegrating world. Another term she uses to describe her style is 'whole tonality', implying equal treatment of all the sounding material. Asta's music has been performed in five continent, around 30 countries. Most of her broad output is composed from mid 90's onwards and it has been noticed in several competitions.
