Ian Caple's interview about his collaboration with A Singer Must Die by A Singer Must Die published on 2014-01-12T00:18:43Z ◄ MORE ABOUT ► As a young sound engineer, Ian starts his career in 1979 at KPM (EMI) studios on Denmark St , where he records, amongst other things, Kate Bush's demos. There he wil have the opportunity to develop his own sound universe, soon to inspire the other artists : In 1995 he remixes Tricky's single "Black Steel" wich launched his career. Ian then get to mix next Tricky album "Nearly God', then he co-produced & mixed the album "Pre Millenium Tension" the next year. Ian owes also his name to his long time collaboration with the productive band Tindersticks. He's a real "chef d'Orchestre" for this band, alternatively Sound & mixing engineer, as well as producer on 7 albums. Now Ian accumulate successful collaborations from dEUS, Stevie Wonder, Yoko Ono ("Rising Mixes" album), Alain Bashung ("Fantaisie Militaire - Gold record),to Mansun (album "Attack of the Grey Lantern, n°1 in UK when released), JJ72 (1st album - gold album), Yann Tiersen, Les Tetes Raides (Album "Gratte Poil" - Gold record), Suede, The Divine Comedy, Boo Radleys, Broken Twin,...
