Saorsa I by Ariston

The first, rather lengthy part of a four-part series. A musical suite, which is a form I love, even though the notion of actually listening to a single piece of music that's almost half an hour long seems delightfully antiquated in 2020.
This time around, I wanted to avoid composing with chords; I also wanted to explore modes - I think I covered them all somewhere, even Locrian, which is a bit unwieldy but can be rather pretty.
Recorded at home with electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, assorted percussion as well as quite a few sampled and synthesized sounds courtesy of my trusty 'puter. Everything was played, except for a few drum beats that were programmed - no Midi jockey here! Recorded in Ableton, mixed in Reaper.
