The ‘Dispatch Dubplate’ label represents a new series of releases from Dispatch that focuses on special remixes of past tracks as well as new material with an emphasis on the ‘dubplate’ cutting culture of days gone past that we feel has been missing across more recent years as part of what was once a very vinyl / acetate led scene. The vinyl format itself will play an important role, with exclusive ‘dubplate only’ tracks featured per release in the series all pressed on a strictly limited, one time only x 300 press without any release specific artwork, to retain an air of mystery to every new release.

The first release is a family affair; Break returns to Dispatch to deliver a sublime remix of “The Formula” by DLR, Hydro, Mako & Villem from last summer. Already receiving multiple plays by Friction on BBC Radio 1, the remix causes major damage on the dancefloor, as Break’s signature drums encase a rigorous sub bass assault.

For the second track “Direct Approach”, both ‘dubplate’ and digital versions of the track will appear on each format with the dubplate mix of the track only appearing on vinyl; it’s a hotly anticipated debut link up between two extraordinary talents, Xtrah & DLR. A clash of 2 production titans, this was always going to be a rowdy collaboration; and it’s one we’re proud to debut as part of this exclusive series of releases.
