Andrea Ljekaj is a multi-award-winning musician, producer, and artist known for his diverse and innovative style. A true creative nomad—born in Belgrade, shaped in Berlin, and now based in Zagreb—Andrea creates works that transcend boundaries, merging cultures, disciplines, and influences into a distinctive artistic language. His work has taken him to numerous global and European destinations, including London, Berlin, Hamburg, Venice, Dubai, Ibiza, Münster, Leipzig, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Ljubljana, and beyond.
Throughout his career, Andrea has collaborated with iconic artists such as Josipa Lisac, bands Chui and Mangroove, producer Insolate, and Brian Cid, continuously expanding his sonic universe across genres and formats. Alongside his solo work, he has performed live multiple times with the ensemble Je Veux, further enriching his approach to collective and improvisational performance.
He has held residencies at prestigious festivals and venues, including Sonus Festival, clubs in Berlin and London, and the Bloop Radio residency in London. In 2019, Andrea began collaborating with the Berlin-based record label Get Physical Music on the Croatia Gets Physical project, aimed at promoting local artists through a curated series of releases and events across Croatia.
Andrea is the founder of ATJE, a multidisciplinary concept and record label dedicated to contemporary music, design, and artistic expression. In early 2025, he released the critically acclaimed album Terapiya, featuring twelve original compositions created at the ATJE studio in Zagreb. The album attracted notable attention from both domestic and international media. Beyond music, Andrea also designed the complete visual identity of the label and the Terapiya release, expanding the project into a broader artistic ecosystem that includes limited-edition merchandise, prints, matches, and ATJE chocolate—a refined fusion of Croatian design, music, and culinary craftsmanship.
In 2025, Andrea joined the Tannu Tuwa collective, marking a new phase of collaborative exploration and live performance. That same year, he further expanded his international presence with additional live performances in Poland. He also entered the field of film music, composing the original score for the Croatian feature film Krsnik, opening a new chapter in his creative trajectory.
With a distinctive artistic vision, a cross-disciplinary mindset, and a constant drive to push creative boundaries, Andrea Ljekaj continues to resonate as a compelling and evolving presence on the international music and art scene.
