Amy McKenna Ann Arbor Instagram: amymckennamusic Singer-songwriter Amy McKenna is a Michigan-based musician who weaves poetry, vocal melodies, and piano into a cozy blanket of sound. Amy began composing songs as a young child growing up in the Lake Michigan town of Muskegon, Michigan. Early influences included musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant, Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, The Sundays, her fabulous high school music program and the gorgeous gospel and operatic voices she heard during childhood Sunday morning church services. Amy holds a bachelor of music in vocal performance from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance and has performed in operatic, classical, musical theatre, dance, and singer-songwriter productions. Amy lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her dear husband and four lovely children.
