She winces and shakes her head with pity. 2012-07-02T22:07:53Z Comment by Alma_Deutscher The Director turns away, ashamed. 2012-07-02T22:07:37Z Comment by Alma_Deutscher The Secretary shrinks back, amazed. The Director now gets up from his chair, approaches Alex and tries to show her to the door. She snatches his gold watch and dances away with it, dangling it as she sings. On the projector are images of the Director getting out of a limousine, counting money, polishing his name plaque. 2012-07-02T22:06:39Z Comment by Alma_Deutscher The Secretary gets up to usher Alex out but she avoids his grasp. She holds up her hand just in front of his face, closes her eyes. On the projector are images of twin boys playing. 2012-07-02T22:05:49Z Comment by Alma_Deutscher A rap at the door. Alexandra (16, chubby, plaits, school uniform) bounds into the middle of the room and looks around with determination. The three men gasp. 2012-07-02T22:04:54Z Comment by Alma_Deutscher An old fashioned study with red walls. On one wall is a glass case containing a shining golden broom. A panel of three important looking middle-aged men in suits sit very upright behind an imposing mahogany desk: Chairman: grey comb over; Director: gold watch; Secretary; round glasses. The men react with dismay as they watch scenes projected on the wall to one side: the Dream Sweeper, a shambling figure in a grey coat, drinks, gambles, chases women. 2012-07-02T22:03:27Z
