Alan P. MacLeod Alan MacLeod Toronto Americana, with a heart and a strong pulse. Songs and music for placement with media projects and performing artists. Alan P. MacLeod lives in a tiny overpriced apartment in The Beaches (Toronto) Ontario, Canada. He's been writing, co-writing, producing and recording music for decades but rarely performs in public. Alan, a SOCAN and Songwriters Association of Canada member, was a co-founder of SAC’s Halifax Regional Writers Group. Both the 12-song "XO, eh?" & the 8-song "songs in the key of WTF" were recorded & released during the 2020 COVID lockdown. An EP of original Christmas Songs called "Let Christmas Find You" was released in 2018. Various singles are available via his website and on line music sites. "AFTER NEW YORK" was released in 2012. "Here and Now", from AFTER NEW YORK became the end credit song for Shandi Mitchell's feature film "The Disappeared". Joanna Butler included four songs she co-wrote with Alan on her 2008 CD “Sometimes A Daydream”. Two of his songs appear on Sean Kirby’s CD Trust, including the title track – “Trust These Words”. He composed soundtracks for independent films and consulted on the score for the 2002 award winning film “Baba’s House”. Alan released HIDE THE KNIVES in 1998; and CAPO (a series of four EP’s in differing musical styles) between 2005 and 2009. In the late 1980’s Alan produced and engineered releases for the Halifax indie bands Infra Dig and Tetrus. (Tetrus became one of the ground-breaking bands of the East Coast alternative music scene at that time.) Alan works in the film and television industry to feed his music habit.
