The Poetry Garden Podcast offers uplifting encouragement in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea or coffee. An invitation to seek God’s face in everyday circumstances—the stormy as well as the peaceful. To remember the promise, Surely, I am with you always. An invitation to pause in the midst of our hectic day, seek God’s face and bask in his presence, whether we need comfort, strength, or just a moment of Love.
Episode 7: “Stillness Song” is based on the story of Abigail in 1 Samuel 25 and 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. An invitation to seek God’s face in every storm. An invitation to be still, find God in the eye of the storm, and listen. Be still and draw courage from the Voice that speaks from the stillness. An invitation to remember the promise, “God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.” We can't always choose our circumstances, but we can choose our reaction. Remember to breathe. God is never farther away than your breath.
This world can be rigid and hostile, yet beauty blooms and dances, too. When you’re in a hard place, be still and seek the beauty around you. Remember, you, too, were created with grace and beauty. Our choices are the seeds we plant and nourish, so our beauty will grow and bloom from our hearts.
