Episode 13: “Desired” is based on the Old Testament story of Hannah (1 Samuel 1 & 2) and the words of the apostle Paul found in 1 Corinthians 13:12-13 & 2 Timothy 1:12. Hannah’s pain was deep, yet her trust and reverence for God were deeper. She poured out heart and soul, praying for her deepest desire, and not only did she receive her requested gift, but Hannah discovered that she, too, was desired by the Author of creation. And in her gratitude, Hannah returned her cherished gift to God. “Desired” is an invitation to live steadily in Trust, live unswervingly in Hope, and surrender our God-given gifts back into the mighty hands of the Lover of our soul. Through our surrender, God uses our gifts to impact the dark and lonely places of this world with healing and wisdom. And with Love. The Author of creation loves you extravagantly. You are desired.
