Getting to Net Zero Energy - Sustainable House Day Showcase 2016 by AdelaideSBN published on 2016-09-13T10:08:40Z The State Government of South Australia and the Adelaide City Council have made clear their bold plans to make the City of Adelaide the world’s first Carbon Neutral city. One part of approaching this ambitious goal could be through encouraging the construction of net zero energy buildings. A net zero energy building produces enough renewable energy to meet its own annual energy consumption requirements. Such buildings rely on exceptional energy conservation and on-site renewable generation to meet all of their heating, cooling and electricity needs, but also come with the advantages of having very little (or no) energy bills and exceptional thermal comfort. Our Panel discusses of how we can make sure our homes can hit this target.
