Adam Calvert ( born July 6th, 1992) grew up in a small town in Southeastern Ohio. At the age of twelve, he moved to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in order to pursue his dream of being an entertainer. Calvert accepted a job working at The Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN where he performed for three years as a youth performer. At the age of sixteen, Calvert became the host and singer of The Jukebox Junction Theatre in Chattanooga,Tennessee. Though after a successful season, he chose to chase after bigger endeavors. Calvert had the courage to pursue his love for music a step further and took his music career to the next level. To do so, he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he graduated from the prestigious School for the Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) as a Vocal and Piano Major. This was a turning point in Calvert’s career and opened up severals doors for further opportunities to advance his career. This resulted in him being featured on the hit MTV show "Taking The Stage" (season 2), which was nominated for a 'Teen Choice' award.
Calvert has had the opportunity to open for several major recording artists such as, Martina McBride, James Otto, B.J.Thomas and Marty Stuart, as well as being the headliner for many other events. Calvert is an avid singer/songwriter that enjoys playing at benefits and other charity events. He plays several instruments including the guitar, piano and the violin. It had always been a dream of Calvert’s to produce his own show and in 2013 through his hard work and dedication, his dream was realized. In Pigeon Forge, Tn, Calvert was offered the opportunity to produce the final show that would be held in the famous Elvis Museum Theatre. ‘Rockin’ Through The Ages’ turned many heads and was the talk around town and was the only show that consisted entirely of youth performers. Besides his music career, Calvert was the face of Rue 21’s Carbon Elements Cologne and has been featured in Speedway and Safe Auto Commercials, and other endorsement spots.
On October 10th, 2015, it was a huge accomplishment of Calvert’s to be inducted into The Wheeling Jamboree as an honorary member. Other members include, Brad Paisley, Johnny Cash, Dusty Owens and The Osborne Brothers. The Wheeling Jamboree is an AM radio broadcast that been around for over 80 years that is also aired on the local FM station WWOV 101.1FM.
It has always been important for Calvert to be involved in charity work. He dedicates and devotes his time giving back and helping others. It’s important for Calvert to be able to make connections with other people while making a difference in his community. His most recent and rewarding charity work consists of him singing at the James Cancer Hospital which is the third largest cancer hospital in the nation as well as one of the top hospitals to provides cancer care. His grandmother was his biggest inspiration who fought stage four uterine cancer for over six years. Calvert sparked a special interest in this hospital due to the excellent care that they provided his grandmother. While watching her fight this horrific disease, he wrote a song for her titled “She’s The Brave One”, which is available on iTunes and was featured on MTV’s ‘Taking the Stage. Besides working with the James Cancer Center, he also works alongside the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tn by means of an organization called ‘Musicians On Call’ (MOC). This organization has performed for half a million patients around the world bringing light and happiness to their stay.
Calvert currently travels back and forth from Ohio to North Carolina and Tennessee where he plays with two different bands.
