SoundCloud is committed to making sure that its services are accessible for all users. SoundCloud is subject to the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (“BFSG”) in Germany, which implemented Directive (EU) 2019/882 (EAA).
On SoundCloud, users are able to purchase different subscription plans (which count as e-commerce services), both in order to listen to and to create music. Users can purchase these subscription plans directly through the SoundCloud website or mobile app. The BFSG applies to SoundCloud because its website and mobile application provide these e-commerce services, as defined in Section 2 No. 26 BFSG.
In order to comply with the BFSG, SoundCloud has invested resources to bring its subscription plan pages in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.2 level AA. SoundCloud continues to monitor the BFSG’s compliance requirements.
SoundCloud's services are regulated by the Berlin Senatsverwaltung für Arbeit, Soziales, Gleichstellung, Integration, Vielfalt und Antidiskriminierung when it comes to accessibility issues.
