Starting with Insowmya, London based, Indian artists creates a genre defying style which takes influence guided by her eclectic tastes. About Insowmya Insowmya, a portmanteau of insomnia and her first name Sowmya, is an Indian artist currently residing in London. Her style is a result of her experiments with drum&bass, trap, hip-hop, garage, lo-fi, break core and various other styles that don't fall into any particular genre. She's influenced largely by artists like Aphex Twin, Flume, Eprom, Sam Gellaitry, Mr. Carmack, Imanu and Buunshin to name a few. Insowmya incorporates various elements from her eclectic taste in music into her own compositions. These experiments have resulted in a unique approach to producing that isn't constrained to one particular genre. She aspires to work on various other genres and inspire people to look deeper into different styles of music.
