@tremor: cheers! Much appreciated. I like the samples at the beginning by scanner...This guy used to intercept phone calls and use them in his tracks. So the guy calling the "call girl" at the beginning is a real conversation..freaky innit!..the other samples towards the end are from the film "Naked" by Mike Leigh..a great but slightly gritty harrowing film. Thanks for your comments :)

@tremor: That is eyen by PLaid just finishing (it has some vocal samples from the orb Live 93), the track comin in is a combination of "Beaumont hannant.... Utuba"..(from artificial intelligence 2)..and a sample of Tricky disco (plone remix)....thanks for listening...warps golden era IMO.

@Julie303: Thanx Julie,..yeah that's about the time I started listening to Warp stuff...We had quite few "Megadog" raves here in the UK about that time so I got to see a lot of these acts live before i'd even heard of the label! (couldn't afford many records then since I was a poor student!!!) ...thanks for your kind comments!! :)

@Simon Pieman: Hey Simon what's up ! Guess what ? Tomorrow in Quebec there is an happening : Warp night :) A special night dedicated to Warp records and I posted your mix on their Facebook wall and they were amazed by it...Congrats again even though it's not live it's not the means that counts but the end results...I made The orb's mix with Ableton and Ambient techno tribute strickly with vinyl and Dub tech mix with CDJ-200 ! I know from having made these kinds of mixes myself that they are quite time consuming so your mix the results is just so good that's what counts !!!
Glad you like the Orb, I am posting a funk and a krautrock / kosmiche mix this week-end !!!
PS : Interested to play on your radio what sort of mix do you want to play ?

I have to say that the mix was done using Ableton, so it's not "live DJ'ing"..(a skill I wish I had!..working on it), and I've listened to Warp for over 20 years, so I know this label pretty well......It did take a long...long...time, so the live show would be pretty dull!! :)
I'm listening to your orb mix now....sounds pretty damn excellent!!....The orb are another favourite of mine.

Hi Simon,
was really impressed by your skills on this set ! One of the best DJ mix I've heard in some time, head and shoulders above known DJ's, you are a professionnal and a true connoisseur at crafting a mix ! I've listened to it 3 times at the office : it flows nicely, the tracklisting is second to none and furthermore it seems to passes like 5 minutes while it lasts more than 50 ! On my repeat list ! BRAVO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
