PRODUKDo

A Shadow in the Crowd

DJ . Remixes. Original Production. Breakbeat. Garage. DnB. Jungle. After coming up through the Jacksonville rave scene in the late ’90s, influenced heavily by breakbeat and trance, Produkdo moved to Louisville, KY, where he began DJing on vinyl in 2003. What began as a natural evolution grew into a lifelong obsession with the music and the culture surrounding it. Over the years, he became a driving force in Louisville’s breaks scene while also moving through the city’s house, techno, and other underground music communities. About a decade into his journey, he made the switch to digital, keeping his sound moving forward as the technology—and the scene—changed. Influenced early on in his life by disco, old school hip hop, punk rock and even metal, his sound has never stayed in one place. Starting with trance and breaks, he evolved through European sounds and garage before finding his way into drum & bass. About 15 years ago, Produkdo took that evolution into the studio and began producing his own music. Since then, he has released many tracks across multiple labels, including Base Industry Records, Diablo Loco Records, Electro Breakz, Deep Garnet Records, and Phreak DNB. After decades of watching scenes rise, shift, and reinvent themselves. Produkdo has learned to take something from every era and make it his own. Jazzy textures, powerful female vocals, deep grooves, and a love for the unexpected all find their way into his sets and productions—creating a sound that’s constantly evolving, but unmistakably Produkdo.
