Spectacularly enthusiastic Toronto DJ duo Golden Gloves never fail to transform a humble night at the club to an all out rager. With an unrelenting desire to succeed and the production skill, mixing talent and showmanship to back it up, Golden Gloves are poised to grab the DJ world by the horns and knock its lights out with one punch.

Ben Rosenberg and Kevin Cowie joined forces to create Golden Gloves while they should have been hitting the books at the University of Western Ontario. It wasn’t long before they were sharing the stage with mega-acts such as The Bloody Beetroots, MSTRKRFT, Laidback Luke and Boys Noize. Exceptionally adaptable, Golden Gloves have proved to be just as effective at warming up the crowd to a big artist as an opener as they are at absolutely destroying a headlining set or a frenzied afterparty. Golden Gloves has since wowed club-goers with their unique mix of house, tech-house, techno, electro, and all things in between at major venues in Toronto (Wrongbar, The Social, Mod Club, Circa), Montreal (Le Medley, Telus Theatre), London and beyond.

The duo mesh seamlessly, Ben playing the part of the zealous producer and animated performer while Kev draws on his passion for music and technical skills to balance out the duo. Drawing on diverse influences and having collaborated with local talent like Barletta, Gingy, Bordello, and John Roman, Golden Gloves have truly succeeded in developing a sound all their own. This has been recognized by respected blogs and DJ's both locally and internationally.

There is no question that Golden Gloves have earned their title as true Canadian champions. As we turn to the future and the pair prepare to take on the rest of the world, it’s safe to say that Golden Gloves are, well… Golden.
