I need to soften this intro up a big and get it moving more for interest.

Like the clicky o-hat - do you use single-hit samples loaded into your drum machine, or does it synthesize the drums itself?
- Dynamic Interplay on September 23, 2009 23:26
@silverlining: All of the percussions are ROM based samples, so they are basically percussion kits built into the Grooveboxes. In this case I am using samples from both the Command Station and the EMX-1

If I were you, I would vary the levels a bit more on the hats - they sound a touch robotic.
- Dynamic Interplay on September 23, 2009 23:26
@silverlining: Note taken. I should also perhaps look at the swing on the track too.

Another one of my tracks that I have difficulty describing. I guess you would call it dance, but I truly don't think most people would dance to this. It just happens to have a four to the floor beat. A little bit of acid, some deep pads, simple saw leads fill this one out.Life Spots Uploaded by Dynamic Interplay Start following Send a message on August 19, 2009 01:51

Reminds me a bit of that old AFX track, Donkey Rhubarb. :)

@hamsteralliance: I am not familiar with that, but I will have to look it up.

A bit of an experimental sound for me with this one. Update: New audio file has been uploaded. I noticed a ton of audio problems on the first one due to recording. This is a much cleaner mix this time around.Stickney Uploaded by Dynamic Interplay Start following Send a message on July 27, 2009 01:59

That perc is awesome. What kinds of perc is that, anyway? Like what instruments are those sounds samples of?
- Dynamic Interplay on July 27, 2009 16:20
@silverlining: It is a collection of congas and rims run through an arpegiator and gated.

For some reason, the melody here makes me think of 1990s era 16-bit racing videogames.

So far it's good but the reverse hat isn't doing it any favours... could do with either turning down or just keeping it to one section. I think the problem is that is sounds too random. Perhaps if it was controlled a little more it might work better. The outer track is ace though... I'm a sucker for sweeping pads.
- Dynamic Interplay on March 03, 2009 20:32
@bluejooz: Are you referring to the clap? I tried to go with the super compressed sound, but I admit it didn't turn out 100%

@bluejooz: That is my AN200. I love that synth. Very dirty sounding and sometimes slightly out of control. Sometimes I don't play it I just need to release it and it goes its own direction.
