Non - Binary Species by ZZY

'Transmutation' is ZZY's new album, the first of 2022, and as the title suggests, it focuses on the transformation and transference of things, emotions and bodies.

This new work reveals an alien universe, in which the concept of gender and the representation of bodies is constantly mutating and changing, breaking any matrix based on an inscribed normativity. It is a way of thinking about the concept of gender, looking at a distant reality, full of alien beings who believe in the transformation of the body and in its constant modification.

In such a complex universe, dichotomy becomes a simplistic thought in explaining the meaning of things and the plurality takes its place. Perhaps, electronic music guided by experimentalism is a way of explaining this complexity: synthesizers, computers and drum machines, at the some way, can generate unexpected sounds, with alien characteristics, as if it were possible to communicate with other creatures that live in the universe.
