The Best System Shock MIDI Render on the Internet - Research by Licentious Howler published on 2017-05-13T16:59:57Z Admit it--yours sucks. : ) This is a MIDI compilation of the various themes heard throughout the Research labs and other areas in the game. It was originally arranged by a man with the internet alias "Chicago", probably uploaded some time in 1998 (original site seems to be down). Chicago added a stereo separation in the bass among a few other minor tweaks, but largely the MIDI data is unchanged from what you would hear in the game. The track is being rendered through the Arachno Soundfont (http://www.arachnosoft.com/main/soundfont.php) a soundfont meant to compliment old MS-DOS video games. The MIDI controller I used is a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS.
