Back Burner by Chris Dent published on 2021-06-08T05:41:33Z Retro rock. I have always loved that era 1940's - 1950's when instruments were first electrified and the beginnings of rock'n'roll were being played primarily by jazz musicians. That's the vibe I am looking for with this track... Edit 9th June 2021: Thanks for all the helpful feedback. I have adjusted the sax tone as suggested by a few friends and (hopefully) the sound is improved... Edit 10th June: More alteration to the playing style of the sax thanks to advice from Mikey - a real sax player. Edit 20/6/21: Ditched the fake sax and added some sax curtesy of Mark Douthit (BB loops). It's still 'cheating' but at least now the sax is a real sax player... Thanks again to everyone who responded to my 'sax questionare' Genre Jazz & Blues Comment by Rob Terstall cool B3! 2022-05-24T21:55:41Z Comment by Lontano Cool track! 2021-09-29T21:41:09Z Comment by Ray great, good work! 2021-08-10T09:01:55Z Comment by MIKE SPRING love it 2021-08-06T21:47:12Z Comment by DAN - DT A small detour here, to listen again to this excellent piece .... 2021-07-15T08:12:35Z Comment by Janice & Bud Merritt Back for another listen and great work with the sax!!! 2021-06-28T19:21:26Z Comment by Poetnsen <3 2021-06-27T10:17:04Z Comment by Edward Cortes composer Excellent jazz-blues track. 2021-06-24T22:41:11Z Comment by SuCole Woowww, great blues.👏👏👏👏 2021-06-22T19:06:33Z Comment by MOON AND ARIES sounds so groovy and chilled. There is a lot of toe and finger tapping going on:) 2021-06-09T00:14:27Z Comment by DAN - DT Like many here, I really like the Hammond organ which is really in its so particular sound .... but for me, the sax lacks a little of authenticity, of brilliance although the sounds are nevertheless rather convincing .... 2021-06-08T19:26:57Z Comment by Gina Wood killer Hammond sound and great groove Chris really fab!!! 2021-06-08T18:38:31Z Comment by No killie fish Great track Chris really love the Hammond sound and yes that Sax sounds very convincing great guitar and great jazz vibe really love it 2021-06-08T16:32:16Z Comment by TSM First off, its a great track, that completely fits that era you are going for! Second, the guitar organ is fabulous! Samples are hard, as you have so many variables to it, as far as how you play, do you use the mod wheel?, reverb etc. I think it sounds great, and I love hearing how people use samples, as they are getting better and better. I think it worked well. Great track Chris! 2021-06-08T13:51:12Z Comment by Poetnsen Support <3 2021-06-08T13:05:56Z Comment by Finn Eces Foot tapping and head nodding mandatory.
