For some time now, one can read more and more frequently
about children being abused or even killed by their parents or relatives.
And this worldwide.
In Germany these cases are also increasing rapidly...
And often this happens because friends and acquaintances
and also the youth welfare offices look away and remain silent !
When I read something like this, it makes me infinitely sad and
that's why I decided to write a song to help the children a little and maybe
contribute to the fact that the children and hopefully raise awareness of this
growing problem and these children's plight.

If even ONE CHILD has less fear and pain through our song,
the work has already been WORTH IT !!!!

Don't Look Away

See him in his silence
See her in her dread
Neglect that leads to violence
And we just turn our heads

They live in fear every day
And hide behind the words they say
A blackened eye, a broken bone
Just one more lie in a loveless home

And even if you don't see it
It happens anyway
This damn shame is everywhere
It happens everyday

Children must be happy
Children must be loved
Children need attention
Is that asking way too much?

That something’s not OK
Don’t look away

We’re the only hope they have left
The path to the light ahead
Let's care enough to recognize
They’re too young to help themselves

They don’t know what love feels like
They’ve never had a friend
They hide the scars and bruises
When will this madness end
