As part of SoundCloud’s continued commitment to amplifying the musical and cultural talents of Atlanta University Center (AUC) students and alumni, on October 12, SoundSquad brought the Soundcheck Lounge to the Spelman College campus for their Homecoming Kickoff 2025 event.
As one of the most important social events in the college calendar, Homecoming’s action-packed week celebrates a school’s unique spirit, the diversity of student body talent and fruitful alumni connections. SoundSquad brought these core elements together through the Soundcheck Lounge.
Hosted by our on-campus SoundSquad ambassadors, the Soundcheck Lounge presented an installation of listening stations with curated playlists showcasing music from key AUC alumni and ambassadors: DJ Drama, DJ Trauma, Dos Dias and Rayymon Beatz.
Over 500 AUC students rolled up that evening, put headphones on and listened to exclusive playlists of the DJs’ own mixes, productions and collaborations. Hearing these selections, students got a taste of the music that’s grown from AUC life — and left them with seeds of inspiration, for their own creative journey through their college years.

DJ DRAMA
A Grammy-winning DJ, producer, A&R and record label executive, DJ Drama attended Clark Atlanta University, where he met and began collaborating with fellow student-artists DJ Sense and Don Cannon. DJ TRAUMA
From his roots in the Bronx, New York, to his years as a student at Clark Atlanta University, DJ/producer Trauma has crafted a decades-long career. Starting out as a DJ at AUC parties and local clubs, he transitioned onto Atlanta radio station V-103FM. A turning point was when comedian Dave Chappelle came to one of his Atlanta parties; after seeing him play, Chappelle tapped him to be his tour DJ, further solidifying his reputation as a party-starter who knows how to read the room. It’s a skill he honed on the AUC circuit, and has since guided him throughout his career.
He’s played for artists such as Beyoncé, Ciara and Nipsey Hussle, athletes like LeBron James and Serena Williams, media personalities like Oprah and major brands such as the NBA, Coca Cola and Netflix, among others. Under the glitz and glamour, though, DJ Trauma understands how to harness his skills for the greater good. With Trauma Unit Retreat, his annual event that celebrates togetherness and healing through music, he keeps the spirit of AUC campus togetherness alive through devoted community work.

DOS DIAS
David “Dos Dias” Bishop is a DJ, producer, songwriter and Grammy-winning, platinum-selling engineer. His career started at Morehouse College, where he DJ’d student parties. Through AUC life and Atlanta’s broader music industry, Dos Dias made connections that led to his engineering work, which has earned him critical acclaim and commercial success. As the engineer for R&B singer Summer Walker, he’s working on her full length projects and co-wrote her track “Heart Of A Woman.” He’s also engineered for SadBoi, Young Nudy, 21 Savage, 6LACK, Usher, SAILORR and Westside Boogie, among others.
His years at Morehouse left a deep impression on him, and inspired another career move. In 2024, Georgia State University welcomed Dos Dias to their School of Music, as a professor of practice for music production and audio recording. In the role, he teaches and mentors students, contributes to initiatives and works to bring music industry executives into campus life, tapping into the rich tapestry of talent within the student body.

RAYYMON BEATZ
DJ Rayymon Beatz is the youngest of the Soundcheck Lounge’s artists and the most recent alumni of the group. Hailing from Douglas, Georgia, he started DJing in 2019 through his friend and early mentor, DJ King Kai — and although he was fresh to the decks, he brought his passion to Clark Atlanta University, where he built a loyal following for his rapidfire skills and ear to the streets for new sounds. Catching fire at campus parties, Rayymon Beatz became the school’s official DJ.
Once he started uploading his DJ videos to TikTok, though, it all took off. Since graduating, and now with over 600K TikTok followers — he’s become the official DJ for rappers BunnaB and CEO Trayle, is the youngest DJ to have a regular show on Atlanta’s top-rated HOT 107.9 radio station, and has played at major events such as Rolling Loud. Though he’s booked and busy, Rayymon Beatz always keeps his connection to AUC life alive; this fall, he’s DJing at AUC Homecoming Kickoff parties.
