With her playful approach to rap production and pop vocals, London-based artist PIXY is a rising name to watch, now joining SoundCloud’s 2026 Ascending class.
SoundCloud’s Ascending is a monthly series that puts a spotlight on rising artists from around the globe who are breaking through. Previous Ascending artists include DIY alternative rock artist crayon, rapper/producer slayr, indie pop sensation Erin LeCount, electronic producer DJ_Dave and UK underground rapper YT, to name a few.
After dropping covers and raw, early tracks on her SoundCloud in 2025, PIXY quickly found a following on the platform for her off-kilter style. The Brazilian, London-based artist draws from hyperpop’s blown-out harmonics, alternative pop, the cloud rap style of acts like Yung Lean, and the contrast of living between her Brazilian roots and London lifestyle to create hypnotic rap tracks for a new internet age.
Her latest EP, March 2026’s ‘XY,’ features the breakthrough track “LEGACY.” Produced by London duo Badbadbad, the track showcases her growing confidence as an artist and finely-tuned ear for harmonic riffs.
Since dropping ‘XY,’ PIXY has been making noise in the UK underground through her self-shot and edited visuals, which have caught fire on social media. She’s also garnered the attention of acts like Ojivolta — the production duo who’s worked with Playboi Carti, Kanye West, The Weeknd and more — Charlie Puth and North West, who features on the “LEGACY” remix.
