infernal energies, blake said
are unleashed in printing,
etching their way to Jerusalem

once I slept, Blake said
on a mountain and the heavens
weighed down on me, hard

now I drink, Blake said
the deep-sea ink of the valleys,
saturating every fibre in me

as for relief, Blake said,
the relief must spawn, for who wants
to make do without colours and copies
