To Live Among God's Faithful/Faulty People by Abiding Peace Lutheran Church

When Jesus is approached by a group of ethnic outsiders he does not meet with them privately. Instead, he addresses all who are gathered, and in doing so he demonstrates with his actions that the group are not, in fact, outsiders. His ministry is about breaking open barriers and drawing all people to himself. And the same rule applies to us. When we promise to live among God's faithful people this does not mean drawing insider/outsider lines. It means recognizing the diversity of faithfulness and welcoming all into community.
