Jasper - Botulinum 042324 by Profilename14 published on 2024-04-23T22:18:47Z My past two tracks were fairly calm, and I was very limited in notes playable in the noise channel (notes too high or low lose their pitch, so you have a very narrow range ESPECIALLY if you transpose). Thus, I made a fairly tense "boss fighty" piece. I started out making a drum beat, ending on a really neat rhythm highlighted by LTBs and making 4 variations of it (in varying intensity). Then I spent quite a while experimenting with noise (and quickly realizing Aron's suggestion was a good use for it, thanks for the tip!), eventually ending on a dissonant motif that's altered and sped up across 4 variations. Lots of transposition was used for variety, though transposing the drums sadly didn't work out as I hoped. Got its name because it reminded me of song's from Mercury Meltdown (image from wikipedia). Also if anyone randomly on soundcloud finds this its for a (pretty sick) class.
