MACRIMA - Marthas blaues Band by MACRIMA published on 2016-03-19T16:24:08Z A track for my grandmother Martha who would have celebrated her 98th birthday today on the 19th of March. She loved the spring poem "Er ist's" from the german poet Eduard Möricke. Every year in spring time she recited it over hundred of times for us when the sky was blue and the warm sun was shining...I can hear her in my head right now and this is a wonderful memory I tried to catch with my piano... Here is an English translation of the poem: Spring lets his blue ribbons flutter through the air again. Sweet familiar scents drift over the countryside, full of promise; violets are already dreaming of their time time to come. Listen; the soft sound of a distant harp! It must be you, Spring; it is you I have heard. I miss you, my dear "Ömchen" <3 Genre Classical Comment by javad khodadadi so nice 👍 2023-03-10T07:01:56Z Comment by Ben - Tam Jennifer lovely! 2023-02-16T03:59:36Z Comment by antuan Excelente !! 💫🙏💫 2020-07-16T15:38:47Z Comment by NancyBurridge How very lovely & what a wonderful dedication to your beautiful Grandmother. 2020-03-19T02:28:12Z Comment by ZODALITT this is so sensitive and beautiful! 2016-04-28T08:15:30Z Comment by Simon Reich Really lovely tune Maria:) very much enjoyed this!! 2016-04-18T09:27:19Z Comment by Steve Hillier this is very pretty and your playing is great ! 2016-03-26T22:35:14Z Comment by Emma Caiman What a lovely poem and the piano ripples through reflecting the spring beauty.. 2016-03-23T00:24:32Z Comment by tarkayama Beautiful 2016-03-20T07:45:38Z Comment by Iren Hope Nice ornaments through the piece. 2016-03-19T17:33:55Z
