Yo what’s good everybody? We hope you’ve been enjoying the change of seasons wherever you may be in the world. Whether you’re moving into summer or winter, we’ve got a mix that will spice up your day and make for the perfect soundtrack for the rest of the weekend. We’re very happy to introduce @assassin-bug who takes the spotlight for our next episode in the Heatwave Headquarters series.

Assassin Bug produces and spins a range of obscure, bass-heavy styles ranging from grime to jungle, dubstep to footwork, intertwined with moments of sparkly melodic madness. With the ability to seamlessly blend a multitude of underground sounds, experimental beats, ethereal dreamscapes, and synthetic sound design, she guides the room on a journey throughout her fast-paced, driven, dark yet uplifting sets. A producer and multi-instrumentalist first, Assassin Bug is driven by the belief that sound, music, and dance are all essential to human nature and expression.

Heatwave Headquarters aims to highlight artists who dabble in both production and DJing and of course, who we admire. Assassin Bug has been on our radar for a minute so it’s a pleasure to work with her and bring to our audience some of her amazing talent. As a musician first, she has a knack for musical quality which we think shines through all her work. She’s got an awesome project which is sure to become a fantastic space for unique music - keep your eyes on her socials to be in the loop and catch the content when it comes.

More on that, she'll be releasing her first bunch of EPs before the end of the year as well as a few singles under the collective name 'Bean Sí', and perhaps some other independent labels as well. “If you don't see any releases from me before the end of the year, I formally give you permission to get in touch with me and give me grief for slacking” - Assasin Bug.
