For those that are unaware, I was in a terrible accident in August in Thailand following a music event there and have been recovering from that for the past few months. I wanted to put together a mix that was a ride on the mental and emotional roller coaster I have been on... It is raw without post edit.
This mix starts with a beautiful new track from Nico Stojan, aptly called "Blue Hour", and builds into dark brooding driving rhythms. I had been thinking about putting together a mix that could sonically express some of the dark thoughts I have had during the low points of this recovery, and I thought the time leading up to Halloween would be a great time to share this set. This mix was recorded only in the headphones and no monitors and a pretty even mixture of new and old tracks, including some of the tracks I was looking forward to playing at Burning man this year, which I missed due to the accident... I hope you enjoy it.
