Time, Time, Time by KARAA

Karin Bachner stand bisher vor allem für swingenden Jazz von Quartett bis Big Band und authentisch kraftvollen Gospel. Für sie ist die Freiheit der Kunst auch jene Freiheit eine neue Seite im Schaffen zu zeigen, nämlich die der einfühlsamen Songwriterin.
Und wie auch im Titel der hier präsentierten Single „Time, Time, Time“ gibt es für all diese Freiheiten und all diese Kunst ein Zeit.
Komponiert hat sie schon immer seit sie begonnen habe professionell Musik zu machen. In den letzten Jahren sind dabei, vor allem während ihres Studiums in Kopenhagen, mehr und mehr „Songs“ entstanden. Songs die sie in kleinen Clubs unter dem Pseudonym KARA dargeboten habe. KARA sind die Initialen ihres Mädchennamens KArin RAvelhofer. Mit dieser Abkürzung hat sie stets ihre Schulbücher gekennzeichnet und für die Freundinnen war es ihr Spitzname. Der Name hat sich, wie ihr Songwriting, weiterentwickelt und um K-pop Namensgleichheiten zu vermeiden kam ein zusätzliches A am Ende dazu.
Hier ist sie also, KARAA, mit einem ihrer Lieblingssongs, den ihr die Muse in einem Flughafenbus auf Island zugeflüstert hat. Und es gibt noch mehr davon. "Meine Songs sind für Menschen in der Mitte des Lebens. Eine Alters- & Zielgruppe zwischen 30 bis 60 der ich auch selbst angehöre.", sagt sie.
"Mit meiner Songwriter Künstleridentität KARAA möchte ich diesen Menschen zeigen, dass es nie zu spät ist etwas Neues zu beginnen, kreativ zu sein und sich emotional künstlerisch auszudrücken."

Karin Bachner is famous for swinging jazz performances from quartet to big band and authentically powerful gospel singing. The freedom of art, she says, is also the freedom to show a new side of her creativity, namely that of the sensitive songwriter.
And as the title of the featured single "Time, Time, Time" says, there's a time for all that freedom and all that art.
Karin Bachner has always been composing since she started making music professionally. In recent years, especially during her studies in Copenhagen, more and more "songs" have been created. Songs she performed in small clubs under the pseudonym KARA. KARA are the initials of her maiden name KArin RAvelhofer. She has always used this abbreviation to sign her school books and it was nickname to her friends. The name has evolved, and also her songwriting. To avoid K-pop naming conventions, an extra A was added at the end.
Here she is, KARAA, with one of her favorite songs, whispered to her by a muse while traveling by airport bus in Iceland. And there are more songs like this. “My songs are for people in the middle of life. An age and target group between 30 and 60, to which I also belong,” she says.
