Sweet Marianne (New Mix w Phil Keaggy and Jeff Taylor) by John Joseph Thompson

This song was written by me (John J. Thompson, BMI) with some finishing help by Dan Wheeler, "in character," as a piece for my new novel, The Ballad of the Lost Dogs of East Nashville. In the story, the song started as a simple lullaby and then grew - over half a century - to become a gentle anthem of invitation for an entire community. In this new mix, we finally hear the accordion (a central instrument described in the story.)
