Two poems read by Jefferson Singer, appearing Sixfold Magazine, March 2023. The first poem depicts a dispute between my father and me about whether I made the rare sighting of a snowy owl (usually found in the artic) in Connecticut. It is also a poem about my choosing to write poetry in contrast to the scientist vision my father held for me. The second poem is about the healing powers of the everyday in the face of grief - in this case the recent death of my father.
