HOLA JEFE is a professional disc jockey, events manager and promoter currently residing in Kampala, Uganda. Renowned as one of the leading DJs in the East African electronic music scene, HOLA JEFE has been captivating audiences across the region for the past eight years. His sound is now reaching a global audience, with performances in respected European venues such as Studio 338 in London, 211 in Paris, TAK in Stockholm & Cormoran in Geneva. Through his sound collective, SOUL TRI3E, he orchestrates some of Uganda’s most prominent electronic music events in Kampala and throughout East Africa.
HOLA JEFE has shared the stage with some of the most revered talents in the global electronic music industry, including Themba, Sun El Musician, Enoo Napa, DJ Maphorisa, Da Capo, Enzo Siffredi, Pablo Fierro, Caiiro, Stereo Express, Floyd Lavine, Kasango, Kususa, Hyenah, Lemon & Herb, among others.
In 2014, HOLA JEFE embarked on a transformative journey in San Francisco, California, where he discovered the art of deejaying. This period of profound musical exploration and experimentation ignited his passion for electronic music. Upon returning to Uganda, HOLA JEFE began his deejaying career as a resident DJ at the renowned Embers Bar in Kampala, a venue known for nurturing emerging DJs. The enlightening experiences throughout his journey have driven him to promote a culture of LOVE through his vibrant, soulful, and unique rhythms. HOLA JEFE has since established himself as a pioneering figure in Uganda's electronic music scene.
HOLA JEFE is a familiar presence at some of Africa’s most celebrated festivals and events, including AFRODISIAC, Nyege Nyege Festival, Bayimba Festival of The Arts, Sacred Spaces, Uhuru Muziki, and Open Air Kampala. He has headlined performances in Kigali, Rwanda for the Gorilla Collective and Volkano Fest as well as in Nairobi, Kenya for The Alchemist, MUZE Club & the ADUMA showcase. His international acclaim extends to venues in London, Stockholm, Geneva, Zurich, and Paris. HOLA JEFE has also collaborated with notable venues in Zanzibar such as B4, The Nest, Coral Rocks, Oxygen, Kae Funk and 6 Degrees South. He currently serves as the resident DJ for the AFRODISIAC series, which features top Afro House talents from around the globe and he is also the Artistic Director behind FRECUENCIA, Sacred Spaces, Uhuru Muziki & Sonic Sanctuary.
