DJ and producer, GON, is an Ableton Live extraordinaire based out of Richmond, VA, summoning eclectic and energetic environments with seamless transitions and dynamic beats. With an unmatched love for dnb and noticeable influences such as global bass, hip-hop, and world rhythms, he is sure to leave dance enthusiasts and event goers satisfied with his multifaceted and spirited sets. He believes that no genre should be left behind, and translates that love of variety into audio adventures through mind and heart.
Having opened for notoriously impressive artists such as Dieselboy, Infected Mushroom, and ZEE, GON has an admirable oeuvre that reflects his knowledge of and current journey through the worlds of music and composition. His musical creativity has taken many forms, and blossomed with his discovery of Ableton. GON founded Project Chalk in Wilmington, NC, and developed further as a DJ and producer while creating artistic opportunities for local communities and other artists. He eventually connected with the Party Liberation Front and expanded his artistic network up the east coast, relocating to RVA.
In addition to his musical and artistic endeavors, GON is a respected community leader, talented event organizer, responsible and knowledgeable flame effect technician, and dedicated artist and teacher who enjoys combining his talents into unforgettable and exciting experiences for everyone to enjoy. He is the President and Event Liaison for the Party Liberation Foundation Non-Profit, and has seen to the organizations recent growth by spearheading multiple events and fundraisers since early 2018. He is a Theme Camp Organizer for his community at sanctioned regional Burning Man events such as Transformus and Ignite, and has also held leadership positions for large-scale for-profit events such as FLAME Festival, Fahrenheit, and Naughty Snowball. He has shown unwavering support for the LGBTQ+ community, the Black Lives Matter movement, femme inclusion, and trans rights, and is known to include messages of consent culture and indiscriminate empowerment in his mixes.
