FALENA FALENA WEB Rocca di Papa (Roma) Falena is a musical project that started in 2003. It started thanks to the idea of the three founders Andrea Trinca (Bass), Emiliano Sellati (Vocal – Lyrics) and Alessandro Fusacchia (Guitar), to create something that included all the music that had influenced and interested them throughout their lives. It is difficult to set this type of sound in a specific category as it has generated from the single experiences of each member of the group. Alternative, Rock, Progressive, Indie are only few of the definitions that have been given to their music throughout the years. The first line-up of the Falena also included Domenico Ferri (Drums) and Marco Rusignuolo (Guitar), as well as the three members mentioned above, who were active musicians in Rome. This original line-up of the group started performing live and evolved up to the end of 2006 when they decided to refer to a recording studio to transform their music into something more tangible. In April 2007 Falena recorded their first album, on their own, called “Impressioni”. It was put online through “Myspace” and noticed by an editor of “Prog Archives” that writes a brief review and includes the band in a guide book on Italian Progressive Rock. After recording the album the band starts performing live in many squares and clubs in Rome and its outskirts. At the end of 2007 Ferri leaves the band for personal reasons and is substituted in 2008 by Rossano Acciari. The band starts recording again while continuing their live performances around Rome. In October 2009 the Falena shoot a videoclip in Naples with “M&M Italia”. At the end of 2009 Marco Peschi (Keyboards, Synthesizers, Flute) also joins the group. He is both a musician and sound engineer and with him the band starts recording again and they produce their second album “L'idiota” completely on their own and it is released in August 2013. At the end of 2012 Marco Rusignuolo leaves the band for personal reasons and after looking for someone able to substitute him, the band decides to continue with only five members, and have stayed as such to the present. In December 2013, to promote their second album “L'idiota”, the band undergoes an interview on “Radio Libera Tutti”, and some of the tracks of the album are broadcasted. In January 2014 they are guests at “Radio Rock”, a famous roman radio station, for an interview and a live performance. Falena's musical experience continues with concerts and promotions and also with an intense actvity of writing that will be part of the band's next album and of a very ambitious project called “Frankestein Opera Rock”...
