VVIP (in Hip-Hop) by dj pelau

The 'V.V.I.P. - very vintage ill period(s) in hip-hop', is the result of some type of inspiration returning to NYC, after being overseas for almost four (4) months. Maybe the love/hate relationship I have with NYC was the cause, or the craving to just hear the sounds of the subway and roam freely unnoticed. Or maybe, the free concerts in the park honoring the great architects of hip-hop, hearing some vintage, underground jazz-infused hip-hop beats, the craving of unbelievable samples flipped til your eyes shut in ecstacy. That concrete soul of the streets... I even veered off into those blood-stained streets of yesteryear LA, and the magical crate-digging by Detroit's finest, J Dilla. Just some handpicked niceness overall, if I must say. Enjoy it up!
