CLRRK Clark Caughey Belfast CLRRK is a Belfast-based DJ and producer known for sets that fuse melodic and progressive house with a clear sense of flow, rhythm and energy. Since returning to the scene after an extended hiatus, he has become a resident at AWOL’s monthly live events and an increasingly familiar presence across Belfast’s underground club circuit. January 2026 marks an important milestone with the release of his three-track ‘Every Horizon EP’ on Situation Normal All Fuct Up, a project that captures the melodic, evolving textures defining his new artistic direction. This new chapter is rooted in a long musical journey. Clark’s connection to electronic music first took shape in his early teens, sparked by house parties his uncle brought him to and fuelled by the discovery of the wider world of club culture. What began as curiosity grew into obsession, driving him to develop an encyclopaedic knowledge of electronic music and an early affinity for the fast, uncompromising energy of hard house. By fifteen, that passion translated into his first breakthrough: a guest appearance on Citybeat 96.7FM’s prime-time Clubtrax show under the name of DJ Dubs. The set caught the attention of Phil West, curator of CREDO, the influential underground radio programme. Through CREDO, Clark quickly moved from radio to dance floors - playing clubs he was technically too young to enter, but already capable of controlling with precision and confidence. In 2004 he joined the Keymix Academy, run by Alice Ferguson (mother of Fergie). This opened doors to Club Matrix, run by the team behind the iconic Planet Love festival, where he shared lineups with heavyweights of global dance music. His style grew harder and more techno-leaning, culminating in the release of “Come Back” in 2006 - a collaboration with Deadbeat on Submatic inspired by the acid-techno grit of the era. As the hard house scene declined, Clark stepped away from DJing and production - a break that unexpectedly lasted well over a decade. Everything changed in 2024, when he was invited to perform at the CREDO 20-year reunion in Belfast. What he believed would be a one-off return instead reignited the spark that had shaped his earliest years behind the decks. Rather than closing a chapter, that night opened a new one. Reawakened and redefined, CLRRK now channels the spirit of his past into a forward-looking, emotionally rich sound built to captivate dancefloors with depth, melody and momentum.
