Nezlamnist Ver.2 (24 Bit) by Bas Dielissen published on 2023-10-06T18:24:50Z When I heard the news on Saturday September 10 about the Russian withdrawal from Izjoem, I suddenly thought… Oh my god, it is indeed still war… I was a bit ashamed because I noticed that I was a bit 'war news tired' become. Because how can it be that something like this is still going on, less than 2700 kilometers away from me? Somehow I decided to turn that uncomfortable feeling into music, something I do almost every night. Sometimes when you compose, you just know that it's right, that it's good. I immediately had that feeling with the piano melody I composed that evening. It sounded powerful, and it radiated confidence. I somehow felt that this melody had to do with that war and decided to dedicate it to the unbreakability of the Ukrainian people. It's a coincidence that I have been working with Volodymyr, a very talented musician from Ukraine, for years. He sometimes works out parts for me or composes something completely 'from scratch'. Naturally, I would like to ask him to elaborate on this piece, especially now that I had decided to dedicate it to his comrades. During the proces of composing (as he is an active soldier in this horrible war) he asked for much more time, over and over again, cause, as he said 'war takes a lot of time'. When it was finished I wanted to dedicate it to him, but he said NO. I AM NOT A HERO....... The guy one the Cover is Volodymyr, my friend and soldier, who says he's not a hero.... Well, for me he is!!! Genre Soundtrack
