Universal Thee - Speaker by abadgeoffriendship published on 2016-01-22T10:10:55Z Universal Thee are delighted to release their official single Speaker due out via Eventual Heirs Records and taken from forthcoming album All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace out 19th February 2016. An ode to the humble speaker, the song is a great example of what to expect on the bands sophomore album All Watched Over By the Machines of Loving Grace. Melodic guitars influenced by bands such as Weezer are paired with the male/female vocals of James (guitar & vocals) and Lisa Russell (vocals) who’s call and response vocal harmonies add another angle to the bands already formidable sound. The track sees the band make a natural sonic progression, with a more focused, more intense record, and is the first single to be released from the follow up to critically acclaimed debut Back to Earth which received support from the likes of The Herald, The Skinny, The Daily Record, BBC Scotland and Jim Gellatly. Universal Thee have been building their name north of the border playing a number of shows supporting the likes of Ded Rabbits as well as an appearance on the pyramid stage at the Kelburn Garden Party Festival. With more tours planned over the coming months, a debut London show in the works and the forthcoming release of their brand new album, 2016 is looking like a year where Universal Thee will spread their wings even further afield. Speaker is out now via Eventual Heirs Records. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/speaker-single/id1069011813 http://www.abadgeoffriendship.com/artists/universal-thee Genre Alternative
