weirdonia Alex Martens Windsor It all started 2005 (I think), with an era of a band called SOAP. Weirdo's CAN and CAM formed the group because they were mad SOAD (System of a Down) fans and thought it would be funny to form SOAP (System of a Poo). By God were they awful, like any good punk band they picked up their instruments for the first time yesterday and started a band today. With a gutwrenching combination of terrible SOAD and White Stripes covers, and originals that don't exceed more than 2 chords, SOAP was the main project of CAN and CAM for the extent of 3 years. During the reign of SOAP there were a couple other projects in the midst; bands like Slitback, and The Poor Whites, who were complete shitfuck, and The Sagas of Why Guy, who are essentially the roots of Weirdonia. Sagas was finally their serious take on music, with the recruitment of Weirdo BOUWMEESTER on drums, they played one 2 hour show after which Mr. Drummer Boy decided wimmins are better than music. Anyway there were many musical lulls involved during these years, one of the more famous (lol not really) lulls was the one with Weirdonia! The band was formed July of 2009, many weird songs were made, and it wasn't until February 2010 that it was taken seriously.
