(Underground Preservation Society) was both a Hip-Hop mixshow and talk show airing in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia airing from Hampton University from 1992 - 1997 performed by D.J. Seko VArner ! The show began as a Hip-Hop / R&B / Old School mixshow that aired for an hour each Friday night on WHOV 88.1 FM under the name "The Positive Vibes Mix". In 1994 the show was changed to the "UPS" as it became a test market for new Hip-Hop releases before these songs would enter consideration for a normal rotation. Seko began adding local artists into the mix and later began adding elements of African-Centered speeches and motivational messages into the mix of Hip-Hop and Hip-Hop-Jazz that wouldn't receive normal radio airplay. After returning from the pivitol Million Man March in October 1995 Seko added talk-show segments into the show as well as extending the show to 90 minutes and received the coveted Best Talk Show award in 1996 from WHOV. The show was cancelled in 1997 as Seko was fired. Visit www.PastorPimp.com for additional episodes ! Genre Radio Show
