But personally, I can't think of anything more egotistical or pointless than taking someone else's song, applying some free apps effects and editing, then reposting it as my own version. The music I love, I love for itself, I don't need to put my stamp on it, and borrow it's coolness to enhance my own. I'm kind of an old school guy when it comes to music. Mad props to those that do this professionally though, that's a different matter.
