THE SMOKING SECTION Shaun Williamson HE SMOKING SECTION features lead vocalist SHAUN WILLIAMSON, a highly regarded vocal coach, singer/songwriter, session vocalist, and 40+ year veteran of the music industry, and Canadian multi-instrumentalist, vocalist JOHN TATE. Lead vocalist SHAUN WILLIAMSON was the lead singer for legendary southern rock group “The Atlanta Rhythm Section” in the 1980s and has since recorded multiple albums of his own music and countless recordings as a first-call session vocalist in Europe and the USA. His band “The Sunnyland Blues band” in Germany was a staple of the blues festival circuit and often shared the stage with artists such as B.B King, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Johnny Winter, and many others. His band “KING KARMA” from Vancouver, Canada was the backup band for BAD COMPANY, FREE vocalist PAUL RODGERS. Their debut album was recorded and produced by the original "Swamper” JIMMY JOHNSON in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. In 2019, Shaun teamed up with talented Canadian multi-instrumentalist JOHN TATE in Las Vegas to form an exciting acoustic duo that they would name: "THE SMOKING SECTION." This talented duo plays a fantastic variety of classic and modern rock, pop, blues, and soul hits from artists such as Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, and many more, they do it all! And of course, Shaun will sing some Atlanta Rhythm Section hits for you!
