Montreal duo The Gulf Stream is all about bass music. Composed of Kodok (Ivann Uruena) and Archibald Singleton (Jérôme Guilleaume), when they first geared up to jam the pair were a ways off from knowing that they would have such fun playing together. As they grew musically, the created music forged around powerful basses, full of subtle samples and melodic synths. Anything goes when it comes to samples. The live set they play is always evolving, full of glitches and as they never stopped jamming, new compositions keep emerging each time they play.

Le duo montréalais The Gulf Stream rassemble ses compositions autour de la « bass music ». Lorsqu’ils ont commencé à jammer ensemble, Kodok (Ivann Uruena) et Archibald Singleton (Jérôme Guilleaume) étaient loin de s’imaginer qu’ils y prendraient tant de plaisir et se produiraient ensemble sur de si nombreuses scènes. Au fil du temps, leur musique s’est affirmée pour devenir cet agencement unique de synthétiseurs organiques, de samples subtils, de claviers nerveux et de basses grasses. En « live », The Gulf Stream crée un son riche et imagé, en perpétuelle évolution, et donne à chaque fois naissance à de nouvelles compositions.
