Interesting ... the bass sound very far away, same with the beat and trumpet, while those parts that normally would sound further away (like percussion and keys) are here more on the foreground ... Sounds a little bit as if you in the intro and end stand next to the keyboard player and in the middle part as if you are standing next to the percussion player of this band during a band practice (without monitors) ;) ... nevertheless, the groove itself I like a lot :)

Cool track ... sometime loops can go on forever without getting boring or so ... this is one of those tracks :) ... Maybe I am wrong about this and you're looking for a more low-fi sound for this track ... because the kick does sound a bit distorted. But the overall track itself doesn't sound very low-fi to me. So, it sounds to me a little like the kick peaks through the 0 db ... Of course this might have happened in the mp3 encoding process, I don't know? If not, maybe compressing the kick a bit more, or equalizing or automate the volume of the kick on those points it creates the distortion ... reducing (-db) the overall threshold might be the simple solution. ... Anyway, cool oldschool-ish style, but different :) ... a bit like mixing the Beasty Boys with De La Soul or so :)

Very cool groove, like it a lot. Maybe it could use a bit more warmth. If the bass would get a bit more "body" the "drive" (as in groove) would pick up more ... Nevertheless, really cool track ...

It has a nice groove ... I'm not sure if I noticed right, but there seem to be a distorted noise in the sound of kick. Maybe that was ment to be like that ... ? I personally would like to make the kick a bit lighter. You have anyway a phat bass sound in this track, by making the kick more light / transparent you might make the whole groove more vibrant ...
@Roelant Hollander: Cheers bro. I shall investigate :0) Thanks for listeneing.
