A song I was inspired to write by the spirit of volunteerism that has always existed around me and within me. Volunteers make the world go around. Whether they are serving their families, neighbourhoods, cultural/religious communities or the less advantaged in society, the spirit of caring and sharing binds us, shapes us, and carries us through difficult times. "I Volunteer" explores the sentiments around volunteering. It attempts to speak for those who choose not to; who are not looking for recognition. Through helping others, these priceless volunteers are also fulfiling a basic need within themselves.
